March Logistics for March 24, 2018

We’d like to start by thanking everyone for choosing to be a part of #MarchForOurLivesPHX. With your help we will incite reform in gun safety legislation and awareness.

Before attending the march please remember the following:

  • Please arrive at the Arizona State Capitol Building at 1700 W. Washington, PHX, AZ, as early as 9am. Meet in front of the Capitol building before 10am, when the speakers begin. The march will officially start at 11am.

  • Food trucks will be available after 9am and will be on the northwest corner of 17th Ave and Adams St.

  • #MarchForOurLivesPHX t-shirts will be sold for $20 a piece, CASH ONLY. Credit/debit cards will not be accepted.

  • Porta-Potty facilities will be located on Adams St, between 16th & 17th Ave, and will be available throughout the march.

  • Prohibited items include: illicit drugs, alcohol, & drones. Large backpacks, pets, and wagons are discouraged, and should not be brought unless necessary. Suggested items to bring to the march include: sunscreen, hats, water, and cash for desired purchases.

  • PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE WITH COUNTER PROTESTERS. If confronted please ignore them, there will be trained de-escalators in the crowd to handle these situations.  



  • Please report for your shift on-time at the Arizona Capitol Building. Volunteer check-in will be in front of the Capitol building.

  • The Capitol is accessible through the Phoenix mass transit system.  From the light rail stop Van Buren/Central, you can take the 3 bus from Van Buren, going West.  You will get off on Van Buren and 17th, and it will be a short 10 minute walk to the Capitol.



    • There will be 4 parking facilities on 14th Ave and Adams St available for public parking. IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 10AM please use the parking facility on 17th and Jackson or 18th and Madison. These will also be overflow parking.


    • The parking lots behind the Capitol building, on 18th Ave between Adams and Jefferson, will be available for handicapped vehicles and buses.


    • Press parking will be on the north side of Jefferson between 16th & 17th. This parking lot will also be open to organizers and handicapped - but you CANNOT leave this parking lot once the march starts until 2.
