March for our Lives Arizona is sending our deepest condolences to the people of Jacksonville, Florida today after a senseless act of gun violence has impacted the families and communities of the 11 injured and 4 dead.
The event was an E-Sports tournament at Jacksonville Landing, a marketplace in downtown, when a livestream cut as gunshots rang out.
“We extend our condolences to all victims and their families as more comes out of this developing story.” Dawn Motley, spokesperson for March for our Lives Arizona says, “Gun violence is not limited to our schoolyards. In Arizona, someone dies because of gun violence every 9 hours. This event sadly another mark in the growing number of mass shootings in our country.”
“Arizona stands with Jacksonville,” Executive Director of March for our Lives Arizona states, “We may be on opposite sides of the country, but our hearts and deepest condolences lay with the community of Jacksonville, Florida.”
This is the third highly publicized shooting in the area in the past three weeks, the two others being at high school sporting events.
